Trip To Kraków

Trip To Kraków

The second city was Kraków, former capital of Poland.

Here, we visited Wawel Royal Castle, Wawel Dragon (statue) and Kraków Central Square.

In Wawel Palace, we visited the garden and its surrounding. As we passed the gate, we were “greeted” on the right by the statue of Pope John Paul II, and on the left by St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus Cathedral. We saw the Cathedral which is famous for its three towers and the eight bells.

We walked through the courtyard of the castle, through the platform next to the “tower of thieves”. From this platform, we could admire the Vistula River, with its beautiful landscape.

Coming out the castle, there was a massive statue of a dragon which usually breathes fire, Wawel Dragon. It is the symbol of the city and a monument at the foot of the Wawel Hill in Kraków.

Then, we went to the Kraków Central Square. Here. We took a walk to see the architecture of the buildings and we spent time taking pictures.
