July-September 2015

Today we’ve visited Gniezno which is a town in Wielkopolska Province, situated in the central part of Gniezno Plateau amid the hills of a terminal moraine and among the lakes of Gniezno Lake District: Jelonek, Świętokrzyskie and Winiarskie. It is a city in central-western Poland, some 50 kilometres (31 miles) east of Poznań, with some 70,000 inhabitants. One of the Piast dynasty’s chief cities, it was mentioned in 10th-century sources, including the Dagome Iudex, as the capital of Piast Poland. The Roman Catholic archbishop of Gniezno is the primate of Poland, making it the country’s ecclesiastical capital. It has belonged since 1999 to the Greater Poland Voivodeship, and is the administrative seat of Gniezno County (powiat).

Today we arranged a meeting with Ms. Ewelina after she finished her work, because we had to sign all documents on our flats and she had to do a list on what is right or wrong inside our flats after our stay. After meeting we went to Aqua Park Gym to relax.

We leave a little bit disappointed from Munchen because we didn’t  have enough time to explore the city and his wonders. After a long and tedious road which lasted for approximately five hours we finally arrived in the capital of Czech Republic, the city of Prague. There we  look for a hotel using booking.com website which was very useful because we find a nice and cheap hotel and also close to a bus station. If you want to book a hotel near the city center you must do this with some weeks in advance because Praha is one of the most popular city for tourists.

In Praha we recommend to visit HRADČANY area and also the old down town, and you must do that both during the day and especially in the night.

During our trip in  Praha  we visit the next tourist sights:

  • Tyn Church
  • Mala Strana
  • Prague Astronomical Clock
  • Charles Bridge

For booking hotel and for finding parkin place we use the next websites:

Today we woke up early because we had to go to visit Versailles Palace and if you don’t want to stay too much in the line you must be there before 10 o’clock. From Saint-Quentin to Versailles it took us approximately  three hours because of the bad traffic in some areas and also because we had to pay fees for using the highway. Finally we arrived at Versailles Palace where we stayed in the line about one hour, but we were happy that we needn’t have to pay for tickets because if you fulfill some criteria you will get free entrance(this is also applicable to other places). In order to visit all the domain you must spend approximately a day  because you have lots of  things to see, since the domain is quite big.  A good advice is to have food and something to drink because here the prices are a little bit bigger. After we finished visiting Versailles Palace we went to pick our car and went straight to our hotel.

For more information about Versailles palace you can find on their own website: http://www.louvre.fr

  • Parking: 12.6 Euro for 7 hours
  • Free Entrance for students and 15 Euro for adults

Today we are visiting the  city of Amsterdam which for us was a great experience because we had the opportunity to visit the capital of Holland. In this city we were impressed by  their characteristic and traditional buildings and also by their windmills and their approach on using water.

Today we leave Bruxelles, the capital of  Belgium, with regrets because we didn’t have the necessary time to visit all of it. On the other hand we are glad that we had the chance to visit this wonderful city which has not only nice tourist sights but also kind and helpful people. We continue our trip to our next destination Paris, the capital of France. Due to some problems related to highway traffic we couldn’t reach Paris during this day so we had to stop in the city of Saint-Quentin because we were tired after travelling that much.

We arrived in the city of Saint-Quentin and we went straight to our hotel  to check in and leave our luggage. After we rest a while we went to the city center because we wanted to see and find out more about this city. We spent about one hour and a half during which we had a great time.

Hotel cost: 72 euro

Highway fee: 4.2 euro
